The police have confirmed that two illegal firms were seized during operations in the Kingston Eastern Division on Tuesday.
The first firearm was seized during the search of a premises in Burgher Gully, Mountain View.
A Taurus 9mm pistol with a magazine containing 14 rounds of ammunition was found wrapped in a cloth under a stone.
Within hours of the find, detectives made another seizure along Cleveland Road in the division.
The Elletson Road Police say that about 7:00 p.m., lawmen conducted an intelligence-led operation in the area, during which a house was searched.
An Uzi sub-machine gun was found wrapped in a piece of cloth in a room of the house.
No one was arrested in relation to any of the seizures.
The investigation continues.
