“Mike and I are feeling pretty good.  We were successful in the trials but now we are on the big stage.  We intend to represent our country in the senior division.  Jamaica is the defending champion in that division and we intend to make sure we bring the trophy home this year again” said Dr. Mark Newnham who played on the two previous successful team.

His new partner for this year, Michael Gleichman said “the golf course (is) amazing.  One of these golf courses we must hit it in the fairway.  Keep away from the traps, two balls in the fairway, two balls in the green, we come with the par should be an amazing score but we intend to be below that with good play we win.”

Coach Jonathan Newnham said “great day of preparation.  Final practice round before the event.  Everybody is prepared.  The course is in good condition, its a little wet but everybody is prepared as best as we could so we are gonna focus on controlling what we can and let the results take care of themselves;  Looking forward to the challenge.”

According to the USGA’s (US Golf Association) Rules of Golf, four-ball stroke play is a competition in which two competitors play as partners, each playing his own ball but the lower score of the partners is the score for the hole.
