The driver of a mixer truck had to be rushed to the Mandeville Regional Hospital after he sustained injuries when his vehicle overturned on the Winston Jones Highway in Mandeville, Manchester.
All incoming and outgoing traffic along the highway had to be diverted following the incident this morning
It is reported that about 10:00 a.m. the driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle, which subsequently overturned, downing utility poles in the process.
All drivers heading onto the highway from Hanbury road and the New Green roundabout are advised to take Kendal, Royal Flat and other routes that bypass the highway.
This is second accident to have occurred along the highway within hours.
Just last night at approximately 8:30, there was a collision between a trailer truck and another truck along the highway.
The driver of the trailer truck was taken to hospital where he is receiving treatment.
