Two Pakistani security forces were killed in a blast from an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the Spinwam area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan area sources said.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two killed soldiers were namely 29-year-old Sepoy Gul Rauf, a resident of Lakki Marwat, and Sepoy Abid Ullahm, a resident of Karak district.

According to the Pakistani army, a search operation is underway to eliminate the terrorist from the area, who cause terror and chaos among the people in the area.

In a separate exchange of fire with the security forces in the Spinwam area last week, one terrorist was killed and two others were injured.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Bilawal-Bhutto Zardari in his latest remarks said that terror attacks have unprecedentedly increased in Pakistan since the Afghan Taliban’s return to power in 2021.

It is reported that the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) have joint forces, and the former has been behind brutal attacks in different cities of Pakistan, claiming the lives of innocent civilians and army personnel.
