Jackie Trad is ‘not the victim’ after being cleared by corruption watchdog

After being cleared by the Crime and Corruption Commission, former Queensland Deputy Premier Jackie Trad is “not the victim” as she has since suggested according to Queensland shadow Education Minister Jarrod Bleijie. Ms Trad has been cleared of all criminal offences over the appointment of a principal at a Brisbane high school in her electorate. She was accused of inappropriately meeting the candidate for the Inner City South Secondary College last year. The corruption watchdog found no criminal wrongdoing because she didn’t instigate the meeting which revealed some worrying and disappointing practices in the selection process. Mr Bleijie told Sky News host Chris Kenny it was revealed by the CCC that the Education Department deleted emails in relation to the scandal. Image: News Corp Australia
