Man shot, officer stabbed in neck on Brisbane's southside

Police have shot a man multiple times after an officer was reportedly stabbed in the neck at a residence on Brisbane's southside on Wednesday evening.

Emergency services are releasing few details, but police were already at the home on Hillgrove Road in Upper Mount Gravatt when the situation escalated about 5pm.

Nine News said paramedics took the officer and the man to hospital but no details have been released regarding their condition.

Police have declared the area a crime scene as investigations are under way.
