Islami Bank's clients' human chain foiled

An attempt to hold a human chain by a group of shareholders and clients of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited failed yesterday for obstruction allegedly by ruling party men.

They called for the human chain in front of the Jatiya Press Club yesterday afternoon amid allegation of Islami Bank disbursing Tk 7,246 crore loans to nine companies violating banking rules.
