A man who was acquitted on appeal was picked up on an arrest warrant that was issued in 2014.
Police detained Indrick Tilme after their system showed that the eight-year-old warrant for his burglary and attempted murder case was still outstanding.
When he appeared before Senior Justice Bernard Turner, Tilme said the warrant was issued because he was late for a court appearance.
A jury convicted Tilme of the charges in 2016 and he was sentenced to prison.
He remained in custody until February 2022 when the Court of Appeal quashed his convictions and sentences.
After verifying what Tilme had said, Turner canceled the warrant.
He said Tilme would be provided with a warrant cancellation certificate, which would also be sent to the warrants section.
