Multimillion-dollar expansion in the works for food and hospitality giant

A local hospitality and restaurant giant is planning a multimillion-dollar expansion, with two new seaside restaurants planned for western New Providence.

Titan Hospitality Ltd. said more than 150 jobs will be created from its two new venues.

The first is a partnership with the $120 million luxury hotel condo development Goldwynn, on the Cable Beach shoreline.

“The first location is opening at the end of the year, when the resort opens. It’s a multimillion-dollar collaboration with Goldwynn Resort and Residences. It will have a seaside indoor restaurant and a pool bar with music and entertainment,” according to Tony Skandaliaris of Titan Hospitality.

Goldwynn Resort has said it will begin to hand over units to residential owners by the end of the year, and expects paying customers to begin coming into the boutique resort by February 1, 2023.

Titan Hospitality Ltd. was impacted by the COVID-19 lockdowns of 2020 and 2021. It maintained its staff ratios and pivoted to provide delivery and a la carte service to its customers.

While many businesses have closed or scaled backed because of the strain caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the restaurant leader is adding two more locations to its group of seven restaurants throughout The Bahamas.

“Instead of playing it safe, we decided to double down and open even more restaurants,” according to Skandaliaris.

In addition to the new Goldywnn restaurant, Titan Hospitality intends to take over and overhaul the restaurant at Compass Point Beach Resort, further west on West Bay Street. The group is targeting an opening in December or January 2023 for that location.

In addition to its restaurants, Titan Hospitality provides catering services for events, private jets and yachts.

Its restaurants offer a wide array of options, including Bahamian and international cuisine. It’s restaurants include The Swimming Pig Pub and Pizza Lab at Baha Mar, Meze Grill on Cable Beach, Smugglers in Downtown Nassau, Chippy’s in Sandyport, Latitudes at the Nassau Harbour Club and Wreckers Restaurant and Bar in Spanish Wells.
