An accountant at the Red Cross on Wednesday denied that he stole $8,815 in Super Value gift certificates over an eight-month span.

Sean O. Brennen Sr, 54, is accused of stealing the vouchers from April 18, 2021 until November 25, 2021.

Brennen, who is represented by Ian Cargill, pleaded not guilty to 12 counts of stealing by reason of employment at his arraignment before Magistrate Kendra Kelly.

He was granted $7,000 bail and his trial is scheduled to begin on January 17, 2023.

Sergeant 260 Vernon Pyfrom was the prosecutor.
