Police on Friday charged three men who they say are responsible for the armed robbery of a businessman in San Andros last month.

Prosecutors alleged that Tito Newton, Eddrico Colebrook and Solomon Fowler conspired to rob Joshua Zimmerman on January 28 before Colebrook and Fowler carried out the plot on the same day.

Prosecutors say that Zimmerman was at home when he was approached by a man in a white fisherman’s suit who asked for a job. The man eventually pulled a gun and robbed Zimmerman of $8,600 and a check for $1,492, according to police.

Police reportedly recovered $3,866 in cash when they arrested Colebrook and Fowler a short time later.

All three men were not required to enter pleas to charges of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed robbery and receiving when they made their initial court appearance before Magistrate Samuel McKinney.

They were denied bail and will return to court on April 11 to receive a voluntary bill of indictment that will send the case to the Supreme Court for trial.
