Three primary school students were hit by a car on Wednesday afternoon as they tried to cross the East West Highway, the Ministry of Education said.

One of the children was last listed in serious condition, the ministry said.

“It is imperative that road users exercise due care and caution as it relates to pedestrians and, in particular, school children in and outside of school hours, and in and around schools,” the ministry said.

“Our prayers are with this child and the other two children for a full recovery.”
