Sacul’s Killing Stirs Up Old Wounds for Dyandre Chee’s Family

Jesus Sacul was part of a motorcycle crew, for which Dyandre Chee was also a member. Chee, you may recall, was shot and killed by police officers during a high-speed chase also in Orange Walk back in late March. While Sacul’s death was not by gunfire, it has nevertheless brought back memories from the fatal shooting incident involving Dyandre. His sister, Yazuri Chee spoke out about it with reporters today.

“So far dehn di hide di police dehn weh kill my bredda four months ago. Now fi make I come out yah once more again fi just come out and hear that dehn just shot my lee bredda friend – again done by police.”

“We have been hearing different rumors. What have you been told?”
Yazuri Chee
“Dehn noh di tell we nothing.”

“I see a lot of motorcycles out here.”
Yazuri Chee
“Lot because dah di same friends, my lee bredda dehn same friends. Once again.”

“Last week, you all had Wednesday or Thursday court cause for the incident.”
Yazuri Chee
“Dehn di hide them. Dehn di hide the police dehn weh kill my lee bredda and now dehn just shot wah next lee young bwai – one ah my lee bredda close friends – and we noh know if we wah get fi see the [bleep] weh do it – sorry for the word. But at this point, I really vex because dah done too much with this. That Chester Williams noh want keep dehn dog them pan wah leash.”
