Investigators cited several offences that occurred in North Vancouver earlier in the evening.

At about 5:30 p.m. on the same day, a suspect committed a break and enter to a residence and stole a vehicle. That vehicle was later recovered after it was crashed.

At about 8 p.m. a suspect entered the Capilano Suspension bridge parking lot and carjacked a vehicle from a couple after he revealed a firearm in his waistband. The victim’s vehicle was later located abandoned nearby. The victims were not harmed in this incident.

Investigators executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence, where numerous stolen items were located and have since been linked to other offences.

The 15-year-old male youth, who can’t be named, faces robbery and firearms charges.

“It’s very concerning, alarming and frightening, said Const. Mansoor Sahak. “The victims in these cases were out enjoying an evening and the last thing that they expected was for something so violent and so brazen as this to happen.”
