Calgary and Area Big Brothers Big Sistersreceived the agency's largest donation in history, $ 650,000, on Wednesday.
The organization said that money will be spent to match more young people with mentors, support staff support and create more experience for matches.
In 2019, 64% of Calgary community program mentees experienced four or more childhood adversities, including mental illness, sadness, and stress, according to a news release. Since then, that number has increased to 86%.
At the next General Assembly,Big Brothers Big Sisters(BBBS) announced a donation from the Canadian non-profit fellowship, the Canadian Trekkless Club, which is charitable.
