The Houston Astros have revived right-handed Jake Odorizzi (leg injury) from Monday's 15-day injured list.
Odorizzi will make his first start against the Kansas City Royals from May 16th to Monday afternoon.
Astros chose RHP Enoli Paredes as Triple A Sugarland to make room for Odorizzi on the active roster.
Odorizzi (3-2, 3.13 ERA) was injured during the expedition with the Boston Red Sox, scoring 3-0 at 0.79 ERA on the last four starts. He collapsed while escaping from the mound to cover first base and supported his left foot before being stretched off the field.
Odorizzi records 71-65 in career 3.92 ERA and 226 career games (222 start) in Kansas City (2012), Tampa Bay (2013-17), Minnesota (2018-20) and Houston. I have.
Paredes, 26, posted 3.00 ERA without a decision in the Astros' three games.
