Doja Cat will be the main candidate for the show with six people. The chart-top performers aim to be the best female R&B pop artist, the best female hip-hop artist, and the BETHer of her number one hit "Planet Her", the album of the year, "Woman". Her "Kiss Me More" with SZA was nominated for this year's video and the best collaboration.
Taraji P. Henson will host the show at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Sean "Didi" Combs will receive her Lifetime Achievement Award, one of the highest honors at the ceremony. The music mogul is the founder of Bad Boy Records, has its own television network and fashion line, and has collaborated with a number of leading artists such as Notorious B.I.G., Mary J.
