Charleston — US White President Joe Biden plans to round the country with a series of recent legislative victories on climate change, gun control and drug pricing as victories for Americans and defeats for special interests, according to House officials.
Biden, whose public approval ratings climbed to their highest level since early June this week, will use those victories to bolster Democratic support ahead of the November 8 midterm elections. This week the US Senate approved a Biden-backed bill to fight climate change, lower drug prices and raise corporate taxes. The bill, known as the Control Inflation Act, is expected to be approved by the House of Representatives on Friday.
