TORONTO — Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. A one-year contract with Major League Baseball.
The 32-year-old was released from Boston on Thursday. 210 batting average with 19 doubles, 1 triple, 3 home runs and 29 RBIs in 92 games this season.
The left-handed hitting outfielder was named an All-Star in 2016 and set career highs with 149 hits, 26 home runs, and 87 RBIs.
He helped Boston win his 2018 World Series, and that year's American League championship. With the win, he had three RBIs on nine hits. The Richmond, Virginia native is in his 10th season in his league in the majors, where he appeared in 1,099 games with a .228 batting average and 329 slugging averages in Boston and Milwaukee. The Blue Jays also named infielder Otto Lopez to the Triple-A Buffaloes, and right-handed pitcher Matt He named Peacock.
The Blue Jays announced the move ahead of Tuesday night's game against the Orioles in Baltimore.
