His 12-year-old boy from Alabama was attacked by an intruder. Instead, he shot his mother in his home.
Ayobie Cook, 29, was found dead at his home in Forestdale, Alabama, on August 6. I told the police that an intruder had entered the house.
"There appears to have been no forced entry into the home, and a man was seen fleeing the residence shortly before the 911 call," the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said in an initial Newsstated in his release.
However, investigators determined that there was something wrong with the boy's story and "finally gave a true account of what happened." He fired a weapon and hit his mother," Deputy Commissioner David Agee said in an updated statement.
"The kid finally gave a real account of what happened," Eiji said in his second release.
"The evidence at the scene supports that the shooting was unintentional and the crime will be dealt with through the family court system," he continued. "Families will be supportive throughout the process and children will stay with them."
