Brampton couple dealt $81G win playing Poker Lotto

Winning an $81,000 lotto prize has been like an “out-of-body experience” for a Brampton couple,

Jacqueline Myers and Radcliffe Cameron won the $76,201 Poker Lotto All In jackpot on Sept. 26. The couple also scored $5,000 on the instant portion of their Poker Lotto playing, bumping their prize winnings to $81,201, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp says.

“It’s wonderful — like an out-of-body experience,” Myers, 48, said in an OLG statement. “This really happens to people.”

The winning ticket was purchased at a Shell gas station on Wilson Ave. in Toronto. The pair collected their prize on Oct. 2.

Cameron, 54, said he often plays the lottery, but Poker Lotto was a new experience.

“When I saw the royal flush, I thought the win was for $8,000,” he said. “I went out to the car to show Jacqueline and that’s when she realized it was actually for $80,000.

“We were shocked.”

The couple said they don’t have any immediate plans. For now, they’re just enjoying the moment.
