Some Canadians got their knickers twisted after Tucker Carlson recently suggested Canada liberate itself from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

During Fox Nation’s “Tucker Carlson Today” last week, Carlson referenced the arrests that stemmed from last year’s Freedom Convoy and how Canada had become a dictatorship when the Trudeau government invoked the Emergencies Act.

Carlson said he didn’t want Canada to “become Cuba” so we should be liberated.

He continued: “We’re spending all this money to liberate Ukraine from the Russians. Why are we not sending an armed force north to liberate Canada from Trudeau?”

On Wednesday, Carlson doubled down the liberation claims, saying “all the people who care about their own rights have left Canada” because the country “under Justin Trudeau has become effectively a dictatorship.”

And because Americans don’t like dictatorships and liberate dictatorships, Carlson suggested, once again, “Why don’t we just liberate Canada?”

The Fox News host proceeded to mock Canadians, referring to us as “stalkers,” then replayed the moment he asked why the U.S. didn’t take military action against Canada to remove Trudeau.

“It’s a fair question and honestly we thought the Canadians would be flattered because they’re always flattered when you talk about them,” he said. “They’re like stalkers: You don’t know they exist but they’ve got pictures of you in their dorm room.”

Carlson added that Canadians can’t take a joke.

“If you do a Canada joke on TV, they go absolutely crazy,” he laughed. “They don’t know how to handle it. Or what it means. But it doesn’t matter. They’re excited.”

“Apparently, there is so little going on in Canada, like civil liberties, that if you tell a joke in Canada, they go bonkers,” Carlson said, referring to Green.

Green’s condemnation attempt was voted down, much to Carlson’s delight.

“You’re flattering yourself, Canadian member of parliament. We wouldn’t need the armed forces.”

Carlson clarified: “We did not suggest the armed forces liberate Canada,” (even though he did say “armed force” so understandable confusion).

He added that a couple of college roommates with sled dogs could do the job just as quick.
