Montreal — France beat Britain with a gold medal and Canada finished fifth in the Junior U23 Triathlon Relay at the Triathlon Sprint and Mixed World Championships on Sunday.
France first finished in 4 leg times of 1 hour 24 minutes 7 seconds. Next was England at 1:24:26 and Germany at 1:25:40 in 3rd place.
Hungary became stronger in the final leg, scoring four seconds earlier than the Canadian, who finished fifth at 1:26:21.
The Elite Mixed Team Relay was scheduled for late Sunday.
