Ottawa — Canada announced on Monday additional measures, including additional measures to respond to Russia's invasion of Ukraine and a ban on the export of technologies that could help improve Russia's defense manufacturing capacity.
According to a statement from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's residence, new sanctions will be imposed on six individuals and 46 organizations involved in Russia's defense sector, 15 Ukrainians supporting Russia, and 13 in Belarus. It is intended for individuals and two organizations.
According to a statement, Canada will also introduce sanctions against disinformation and propaganda agents and groups sponsored by the Russian state. (Report by Ismail Shakil of Ottawa)
