Close to 45,000 Hydro-Québec clients without power amid high winds

Some 44,271 customers had no power as of 8:01 p.m. Wednesday, Hydro-Québec said on its website, including 5,368 in Montreal.

Close to 45,000 clients of Hydro-Québec were without power Wednesday night as high winds swept across the province.

Montérégie was the hardest-hit region, with more than 15,570 customers in the dark. Another 5,368 customers in Montreal suffered the same fate. There were 12 outages in Montreal, Hydro-Québec said.
