Advocacy group PivotLegalSociety states that clearing the community violates an agreement signed by the City, State and Vancouver Parks Commission to ensure support for people without shelter.
In a statement, the city stated that it had worsened the condition of the camp because it could not provide the promised storage, sanitation and waste disposal, but these safety reasons for the deportation. It raises hygiene concerns.
