Dodgers defeat Twins for ninth straight win

Trea Turner had three runs and two doubles as the Los Angeles Dodgers extended their winning streak to a season-high nine games with a 10-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday.

With Max Muncy hitting a home run and Julio Urias making his ninth straight decision, the Dodgers improved to 31-5 since his June 29th run. Also, Los Angeles extended his winning streak against the Twins to his nine.

Byron Buxton hit a home run for Minnesota, and starter Joe Ryan (8-5) allowed 6 runs (5 earned runs) in his 5th inning with 9 hits.

With this loss, the Twins tied for first place with the Cleveland Guardians in the American League Central. This is the first time the Twins haven't monopolized his No. 1 spot in the division since his June 24th. Minnesota is 5-7 since his July 26th. - 1st inning center field, 2nd, Gilberto Celestino's RBI roller in front of the plate for the Twins to get the run back.

Dodgers scored Cody in his 2nd inning. Taking the lead with a double, Turner gave Bellinger his 4–1 advantage with his own double.

Muncy gave the Dodgers his 5–1 lead with a home run to center field in his third game. It's his 12th of the season and his third in the last six games. Los Angeles' lead extended to 6-1 in the fourth inning with an RBI comeback from Turner.

Urias (12-6) has allowed 1 run, no walks and 8 strikeouts on 5 hits in 7 innings.

Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner allowed his two hits and one run in the first game after returning from the injured reserve due to a strained abdomen. He added an RBI groundout in the seventh, one hitter after an RBI double from Muncy.

Trea Turner scored on Smith's single in the eighth inning when he hit a two-RBI double.

Buxton's 27th home run was his two-run shot in his eighth off of Dodgers right-handed Phil Bickford.
