Elgin County OPP thanks Good Samaritan for helping find missing toddler

Good news for a family in Elgin County whose missing 3-year-old child was found Saturday afternoon by theGood Samaritan.

Elgin County Ontario police and dog and emergency response team members responded afterchildren were reported missing

Police say the child wandered off the property and was spotted by a passing motorist traveling on the Glencollin Line.

Suspicious Encounter with Vehicle Wanted The Good Samaritan quickly stopped and contacted authorities. Authorities were able to unsettle the child and reunite him with his parents who were very relieved, police say.

“The Elgin County OPP would like to thank the Good Samaritan for approaching this boy and contacting authorities immediately. It's been put back together," said Capt. Mark Lucas, detachment commander of the Elgin County OPP.
