Incendiary bombing of Edmonton restaurant caught on camera

A southeast Edmonton restaurant owner is in shock after his business was hit twice in the Silverbury community last week.

Surveillance video shows a person in a hooded sweatshirt walking towards Mann Meats and Indian Cuisine on 34th Avenue and 34th Street N.W. Saturday around 2pm.

The video shows a person throwing a flaming object by a door bounce off the road.

The owner, Gurdeep Mann, said the delivery driver was sitting behind glass during the attack.

"I was shocked. It's scary. It's very dangerous for someone to do this," Mann said.

In a second video taken around 4 a.m. Monday, People wearing similar costumes are hitting the front. Throwing a lit object through a restaurant door causes flames to explode in front of the door. In both cases the person is seen running away.

Mann filed a report with the police but feared he was being targeted and says that it causes restless nights.

``They (the police) said that if the person failed, they might try again. They told us that if someone wants to do bad things to us, they can even come to our house.

Edmonton Police say they are investigating the incident.
