Calgary firefighters were alerted to a fire in the city's northeast that set off two alarms Wednesday night.
The Calgary Fire Department received a call at approximately 7:45 p.m.
When firefighters arrived, they noticed "a lot of smoke" and a second truck was called in to combat the blaze.

Roof access," Calgary Fire said in a news release Thursday. "Vents were cut in the roof to allow heat and pressure to escape and to provide openings for attacking fire."

An external fire attack and the building's internal sprinkler system quickly brought the fire under control.
One firefighter was transferred to hospital by her EMS for heat stroke, but no injuries were reported. At the time of the fire, the temperature in Calgary was around 24 degrees Celsius.

Fires Investigators have been called in to determine the cause of the fire. The fire brigade remained for the rest of the night to monitor the hotspot.
