On Wednesday, Ford Motor Company announced that by 2025, all of its Michigan-made vehicles will be assembled using solar and other renewable energy sources.
Michigan-based Ford has signed a renewable energy purchase agreement with local provider DTE Energy. The utility company will add 650 megawatts of new solar power in the state for automakers.
Ford manufactures models of the F-150, Mustang, Ranger and Bronco at his three factories in Dearborn, Wayne and Flatrock, Michigan. (Reporting by his Aishwarya Nair of Bangalore, Editing by Neha Arora)
