Gunman ambushes Nigerian President Buhari's avant-garde

Abuja-Nigeria President Muhammad Buhari's avant-garde injured two people in northern Katsina on Tuesday, and unidentified armed groups injured them, a presidential spokesman said in a statement.

In another attack late Wednesday, another unidentified armed group attacked a medium-sized security prison in Kuje near the capital Abuja, a correction service spokesman said in a statement.

"A man in the armed forces of the Nigerian correction service and other security agencies belonging to the management center are responding, the facility is calm and the situation is controlled," a spokesman said.
