The arrest last week of a couple in their 40s has resulted in the seizure of four firearms including two fully loaded pistols, a collection of knives and a telescoping baton, Montreal police announced on Monday.

Alexander Zobyan, 44, and Cathy Clavel, 45, were arrested March 15 with the assistance of a police SWAT team as the pair drove in their vehicle. A search of the vehicle and of the suspects’ home in the borough of Ahuntsic—Cartierville led investigators to the weapons, police said.
