Kanye West claims he has found a love for Jewish people again after watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street.

“Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street made me like Jewish people again,” West shared on Instagram alongside a poster for the 2012 film.

“No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people,” West continued. “No Christian can be labelled [an] anti-Semite knowing Jesus is [a] Jew. Thank you Jonah Hill. I love you.”

But watchdog group StopAntisemitism was unimpressed with West’s statement telling TMZ, “Joking about a movie with Jonah Hill is not the apology that the Jewish people deserve from Kanye, particularly when his antisemitic tirades continue to have a dangerous trickle-down effect of hatred against Jews.”

Christopher Miller, who co-directed the 2012 comedy and its 2014 sequel with Phil Lord, commented on West’s bizarre post with, “Um… thanks for watching?”

The loudmouth rapper courted controversy last fall when he made a series of anti-Semitic statements, including an appearance on Infowars when he told host Alex Jones that he saw “good things about Hitler.”

“I don’t like the word evil next to Nazis,” West said. “I love Jewish people, but I also love Nazis.”

West continued, “[Nazis] did good things too. We’ve got to stop dissing the Nazis all the time.”

Prior to his viral appearance on Infowars, West had gone on an anti-Semitic rant on Twitter in which he threatened he was about to go “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.” The outburst caused brands like Adidas, Gap and Balenciaga to sever ties with the Grammy winner.

West was also booted off various social media platforms.
