Legault government must reject privatization of Hydro-Québec, QS says

Québec solidaire co-spokesperson Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois also wants an end to speculation over whether Michael Sabia will be named head of the utility.

The Coalition Avenir Québec government must close the door to any form of privatization of Hydro-Québec, Québec solidaire urged on Wednesday.

The opposition party’s call to avoid even partial privatization of the utility came after Quebec Energy Minister Pierre Fitzgibbon suggested he was open to the idea of construction of future dams for Hydro-Québec being carried out by the private sector.
