NOT SO ‘DUMB’
Re “Smart enough to be stupid” (Warren Kinsella, May 21): Once again you use bits and pieces of a full story to bend the truth to get your points across when you don’t like someone, especially someone who is non-Liberal or NDP or has any type of opposing views from your own. I know this is an opinion piece but come on, calling Danielle Smith “dumb,” and asking how “can someone that ignorant of the law and ethics be in the running, still?” Are you serious? She pales in comparison to your beloved current Prime Minister Trudeau and his many violations of ethics, amongst other countless follies. I think your use of the word “dumb” is better suited for Trudeau, but you know that. Lastly, you and your left-wing cronies need to get over your fascination with Trump and stop using him as your crutch to attack and paint anyone you disagree with as being Trump-like. It’s getting old and I would say the majority of Canadians are growing tired of this lazy tool from your left-wing playbook. I would add everything you said about Trump in your column could be equally mirrored with Trudeau. You want to keep this Trump thing going? How about your column being “fake news.”

SMITH FOR PM
Danielle Smith for prime minister of Canada. I’d vote in a heartbeat. Not only passion for Alberta, passion for Canada.

CAN YOU HANDLE IT
It pains me to watch people on television picking up paper and litter, suffering to find an opening in the black garbage bag they were holding to put the litter inside. To make litter removal more fun and easier, just find a small sturdy stick or break a small branch about a foot long and wrap it a few times around one edge of the open bag, creating a handle. This simple technique of creating a handle at the top of the bag automatically creates an opening in the top of the garbage bag for the easy placement of litter.
