Liveblog: Richardson replaces Ducharme for Habs vs. Vegas in Game 3

Luke Richardson will replace Dominique Ducharme as head coach. Ducharme received a positive COVID-19 test earlier today.

Vegas Golden Knights centre Patrick Brown shoots against Montreal Canadiens defenceman Jeff Petry during the second period of Game 2 at T-Mobile Arena on June 16, 2021, in Las Vegas.

Coach Dominique Ducharme will not be behind the bench for the Montreal Canadiens against the Vegas Golden Knights for Game 3 of their third round playoff series Friday night at the Bell Centre at 8 p.m. (CBC, SN, TVA Sports, TSN 690 Radio, 98.5 FM).

Ducharme had a positive test for COVID-19 and will be isolating at home. No other player or coach tested positive. Assistant coach Luke Richardson gets promoted to the captain’s chair, with Alex Burrows and Sean Burke accompanying him on the bench.
