A man in his 40s swimming Thursday afternoon drowned in A group of friends at Lake Setil in Chandler, Gaspé region.
According to Sûreté du Québec, the incident occurred around 11:15 am when a friend of the victim noticed him out of sight. The victim was soon found in critical condition. He was declared dead in hospital.
The incident is being investigated by Sûreté du Québec.
