A man was transported to hospital in serious, but stable condition after being extricated from a vehicle that drove off the side of Highway 416 on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the Ottawa Paramedic Service said the man’s injuries were serious, but not life-threatening.
Ottawa Fire Services said the man was the lone occupant of the vehicle. He was trapped after the crash, but was extricated from the vehicle within three minutes.
The crash scene was on Highway 416 near Cedarview Road in the city’s west end.
