Man killed by gunshots found at Dorval intersection

Montreal police responded to a call that a man was lying on the street at Carson and Mimosa Aves.

The body of a man in his 20s who had been shot repeatedly in the upper body was discovered late Tuesday at a Dorval intersection.

Montreal police were dispatched to the corner of Carson and Mimosa Aves. around 11 p.m., after a call to the 911 emergency centre reported that a man was lying on the street. The victim was declared dead at the scene.

By early Thursday, no arrests had been reported and police were providing few details on the incident.

A crime scene has been set up at the site and a canine unit deployed to search for clues.
