Man shot dead in North Vancouver

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has reported a man was shot dead in North Vancouver.

Police are in the area of 17th Street East and St. Andrews Avenue in North Vancouver investigating a fatal shooting.

Homicide detectives say a man was shot dead in a targeted hit in North Vancouver late Wednesday.

Sgt. Frank Jang, a spokesman for the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), said police are appealing to the public for any information that could help with the investigation.

Another man is in hospital with injuries. Jang said the two men were targeted while sitting in a vehicle.

IHIT was called to the area of 17th Street East and St. Andrews Avenue shortly before 11 p.m.
