
A Toronto man faces assault charges following a stabbing in North York earlier this week.
Toronto Police were called Wednesday around 7:43 p.m. for a report of an assault with a weapon in the Wilson Heights Blvd.-Reiner Rd. area.

Two men who knew each other were involved in an altercation when police say one of the men was stabbed. The injured men fled the area to seek help, at which time police say the suspect followed him armed with two wooden objects.

The suspect was arrested a short time later.
Ferhat Aydemir, 26, faces two counts of assault with a weapon and is also charged with aggravated assault and assault cause bodily harm.
