Michael Harris II drove the go-ahead run with a seeing-eye double in the seventh inning to lead the Atlanta Braves to a 3-2 victory over the visiting New York Mets on Thursday.
The win gave the Braves his 3–1 victory in the series and shortened the Mets' lead in the N.L. 3 1/2 games from the east. This is the first time the Mets have lost a series to a divisional opponent this season.
The winning rally began when Vaughn Grissom, his second-youngest player in the National League, retired starter Jacob He deGrom, who retired 12 straight hitters. .
