Wyatt, Missouri (AP) — A young mother is the third family member to die in a gas explosion at her Missouri home, officials said Friday.
Miranda Gale, 22, her Golden, was injured Monday when her home in Wyatt, Missouri's southernmost town, caught fire. She was taken to a burn ward in Memphis, Tennessee for her treatment. Wyatt is located about 280 km northeast of Memphis.
Missouri's Mississippi County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that it was informed of her death on Friday.
She died Thursday of a 3-year-old child. 's mother and her significant other, Corey Coleman, died shortly after the explosion.
Two of the girl's younger siblings were also injured and are hospitalized in stable condition, along with five other relatives of hers.
Sheriff Captain Barry Morgan said the cause of the explosion was narrowed down to her two propane powered appliances, a stove and a water heater. He said it was an accident and foul play ruled out.
