Motorcyclist dies in crash at 168th and Fraser Highway in Surrey

Surrey RCMP say a motorcyclist died in a crash Tuesday afternoon at 168th Street and Fraser Highway.

A vehicle and motorcycle collided in the intersection shortly before 2 p.m.

Despite life-saving attempts by first responders, a motorcyclist who suffered extensive injuries died at the scene.

RCMP collision investigators and crash analysts were at the crash site Tuesday afternoon and traffic in all directions was being rerouted.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area for the rest of the afternoon as major congestion was expected on all routes nearby.

Anyone who was in the area and saw the crash or has dashcam footage is asked to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
