The incident was brought to the attention of Montreal police a few hours after it occurred. Laval police notified their Montreal counterparts around 2:50 a.m. that the victim had been attacked around 11:45 p.m. and then fled to their city.
The shooting occurred near Baldwin St. and Métropolitain Blvd. in Anjou. By sunrise Thursday, the precise location of the attack had yet to be determined by investigators.
It appears the shooters fled the scene in their vehicle. For the moment, police have no description of the suspects and intend to question the victim later Thursday.
