Nikola Corp announced Wednesday that Michael Lohscheller will take over as CEO of the electric-truck maker when Mark Russell retires on January 1 next year.
Lohscheller, who joined the company in February, will succeed Russell as president and will join Nikola's board immediately, the company said.
Before becoming president of Nikola Motor, Lohscheller was CEO of German automaker Opel.
Mark Russell joined the company in 2019 as president and in 2020 he became CEO.
