Copenhagen, Denmark (AP) — Norway's prestigious The 30-member Norwegian Defense Force announced Wednesday that it would expel the Royal Guard for using illegal drugs while on vacation.
The military was tipped off about illegal drug use among conscripts at a private party this summer. Five initially admitted to using drugs, but eventually he confessed that 25 did the same.
All 30 were members of the Royal Guard, according to Norwegian broadcaster NRK and VG newspaper.
Military spokesman Blaze Steinson Week Hansen told NRK that conscripts would be discharged from the military.
No details were given as to what kind of medication they were taking. Norway made military service for men and women mandatory in her 2015.
