Occupants of fourth-floor room unharmed as shot fired at Longueuil hotel

Police said it did not appear the occupants of the room had been deliberately targeted.

Longueuil police have turned to the public in an effort to determine who fired at least one gunshot at a local hotel on Saturday.

The incident occurred around 4 a.m. A fourth-floor room of a hotel on St-Charles St. E. was hit by one bullet. The occupants of the room were unharmed.

An investigation yielded two spent cartridge casings under a nearby overpass spanning Highway 132 from Rolland-Therrien Blvd.

Police said it did not appear the occupants of the room had been deliberately targeted.

Anyone with any information on the incident is urged to call 911.
