The assault was reportedly a stabbing at the Starbucks at Granville and Pender Street. Images circulating online show the Starbucks roped off with a large police presence outside. A pool of blood can be seen in the entranceway and on the street.
Police say the investigation is in its early stages and there may be more information available on Monday.
